April-June 2019: TLS version upgrade for FPX
Dear merchants,
Kindly note that FPX will drop support for Transport Layer Security (TLS) version lower than 1.2. That means, you might encounter problems loading FPX pages if your browser is on TLS version lower than 1.2.
As a merchant, what should I do?
Existing integration will continue to work as-is. However, please be aware of complaints on problems paying with Internet Banking due to this upgrade. No further action is required from you.
Why TLS 1.2?
This upgrade is made mandatory by FPX. Please note that TLS 1.2 offers greater security for transmitting data.
What happens if my web browser does not support TLS 1.2?
Your web browser may display a blank page or connection error message. Thus, disabling your customers from making payments via Internet Banking.
When will the upgrade take place?
TLS version 1.2 requirement will be effective on:
- Staging: 1st April 2019
- Production: 1st June 2019
You may perform a test on 1st April 2019 on our Staging site, to ensure that the upgrade does not affect your services.
